Through strong in-country relationships Carpe Crystals ethically sources crystals and minerals from around the world. From ‘tumble stones’ to centre pieces fit for film sets and palaces, they stock a wide array of stones and offer significant insight into geological provenance and suggested uses.
What was the website challenge for Carpe Crystals' brand refresh?
The brand had an existing website that did tick a lot of the boxes for their audience; however, with a brand refresh, they wanted to take their online presence in a more modern direction, reflecting their standing as one of the UK’s premier outlets for crystals and minerals.
What was the design and development approach for Carpe Crystals' website?
With such stunning imagery and an ever-growing catalogue of geological specimens, we saw our task as giving the items room to breathe. We added white space, picked a smart, readable body font to match their brand font, refined their colours and added in the technology the brand needs to resonate with their audience – not least the currency switcher, which allows users from overseas to shop in their native currency. We still work closely with Carpe Crystals, having created a number of additional sites to facilitate expansion into new territories, as well as a wholesale business.
